The noise of the hard disk in standby mode, do not usually hear the noise of the fan - just 33.3 dB (A). After listening a little better, we perceive the high whistling noise from the fan only when high-profile installations of energy.
In power saving mode and an inactive hard disk laptop almost hear - 28.6 dB (A).
